Terrible to hear the news coming out from a already shattered country. I was asked to share the stories and photos as a testimony from most of the people I met during my almost six weeks in the country. A testimony for the rest of the world to see. It took me a while to edit this multimedia-testimony since I have never worked with video before.

It has broken my heart many times to go through this material when I think of these people still being where I left them. Because what we do, journalists and photographers. We visit. We take notes. We leave. And then, we hope our story will have an impact. But to know things did only change for the worst after our departure is as tragic as it is painful.

After a journey through a war-torn Central African Republic in july/august last year the conflict has now escalated. Terrible to hear the news coming out from a already shattered country. I was asked to share the stories and photos as a testimony from most of the people I met during my almost six weeks in the country. A testimony for the rest of the world to see. It took me a while to edit this testimony (apart from the articles in newspapers and magazines) since I have never worked with video before.

It has broken my heart many times to go through this material when I think of these people still being where I left them. Because what we do, journalists and photographers. We visit. We take notes. We leave. And then, we hope our story will have an impact. But to know things did only change for the worst after our departure is as tragic as it is painful.

This multimedia is in swedish but a english version will soon be out.
